Under the UK’s points-based immigration system, prospective workers must meet specific criteria to migrate and work in the UK. You may need a licensed employer to sponsor your visa. The system is divided into five tiers, each with its own entitlements, requirements, and conditions. Each tier awards points, and you must gather 70 points system to qualify.

This category includes applicants who are skilled workers, clergy members outside EEA, professional sportsperson, intra-company transfer, migrants with a job offer.

This category is generally for adult students above the age of 16 years looking to study in the UK. Students outside of EEA can enroll at a school or university. A minimum of 40 points is required to be eligible for migration under this category.
Criteria Points
Age group – 16+ years (Requirement)
Enrolled at a full-time course in UK school/college or university Conditions: Approved education provider at level 3 or above on NVQ framework. 15 hours of classroom study/week 20-30
Maintenance / minimum bank balance 10
 
This is a temporary migration route to the UK, which includes sub-tiers for temporary workers, sports persons, religious workers, charity workers, creative individuals, government-authorized exchanges, international agreements, and the Youth Mobility Scheme (for young people who wish to experience life in the UK). A minimum of 40 points is required under this category (50 points for youth mobility scheme).
